Garrett joined Aetna in 2023 after serving as a firefighter in New Castle County at the Talleyville Fire Company. He holds Pro Board Certifications in FF1 & FF2 and Hazmat Operations. Garrett joined Aetna to gain experience with a high call volume fire department in hopes of pursuing a career in firefighting. In his free time he enjoys running, camping, and spending time outdoors with family and friends.

Braden Cras began his fire service journey with Mill Creek Fire Company in 2023. He joined Aetna Hose, Hook & Ladder Company to broaden his experience and refine his skills, all while pursuing his studies at the University of Delaware and working part-time at Five Points Fire Company. Braden holds Pro Board certifications for both Firefighter I and II and aims to pursue a career as a professional firefighter after college. Outside of the fire service, Braden enjoys mixed martial arts, snowboarding, and surfing.

Sam
Lintz
Sam began his fire service career in 2022 with the Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown. He holds Pro Board certifications in Firefighter I, Firefighter II, and Hazardous Materials Operations. In November 2024, Sam joined Aetna's live-in program to gain hands-on experience and immerse himself in a progressive firehouse culture. He is currently a student at the University of Delaware, where he is pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice.
Phoenix
Louie
Phoenix Louie joined Aetna Hose, Hook & Ladder Company in 2024, following his initial firefighting service with Mill Creek Fire Company in New Castle County. Currently, Phoenix works as both an EMT and firefighter at multiple firehouses and holds a career position as a firefighter with Talleyville Fire Company. Outside of his professional commitments, he enjoys playing pool, guitar, cooking, and spending time outdoors.
Ian began in the fire service in 2020 with the Brighton Fire Department which is located just outside of Rochester, NY. Ian joined Aetna’s live-in program in May of 2023 in hopes of improving his skills as a firefighter and gaining experience. In addition to the live-in program, Ian works at the Five Points Fire Company and is pursuing his bachelor's degree in emergency management and disaster response. Ian joined Aetna to gain more experience and further advance him in his career of firefighting.
Henry MacQuarie
Henry is originally from a small town outside Boston, Massachusetts, and moved to Delaware in 2023 to attend the University of Delaware. While academics have never been his strongest suit, Henry has always had a passion for emergency services. At just 16 years old, he began his career with the Marshfield Police Department, serving as a marine unit officer. After relocating to Delaware, he found Aetna, where he started as a volunteer and quickly became immersed in the work, spending more hours at Station 9 than in the classroom. Henry transitioned to online schooling and has been enjoying his role as an Aetna live-in ever since.
James became a firefighter in the fall of 2018 with North Branch Fire Company, located in Branchburg, New Jersey. After transferring to the University of Delaware, he became a live-in at Aetna in 2022. Currently, James holds NFPA Firefighter I & II, Hazmat Operations, Swift-water Rescue Technician and has plans to become an EMT. Currently, James is a student at the University of Delaware, studying Criminal Justice, with hopes of pursuing a career in law enforcement after graduation. In his free time, he enjoys spending time skiing, hiking, fishing and working out. He joined Aetna because he wanted to continue helping others and serving the community of Newark while away at college, allowing him to do what he loves.
Robert joined his home department located in Connecticut, back in October 2019. Robert currently holds his Pro board Firefighter 1/2, and National registry EMT certification. Robert joined Aetna’s live-in program in June of 2023 and currently works for the city of Salisbury located in Maryland, as a full time FF/EMT.

Alex began his fire service career with Aetna Hose Hook and Ladder Company in the fall of 2023 as a volunteer. In the spring of 2024, Alex graduated from the Delaware State Fire School and obtained his Fire I and Fire II Proboard certifications. He also graduated from the University of Delaware in the spring of 2024. Alex is set to obtain his NREMT in August 2024 and has aspirations to become a career firefighter.
Brody
Wilson
Brody Wilson started his fire service career in 2023 with Mill Creek Fire Company and joined Aetna in 2024. He holds Pro Board certifications in Firefighter I and II, Vehicle Rescue Operations, and Hazmat Operations, and he is currently working towards his NREMT. Brody joined Aetna to further his knowledge and experience within the fire service as he pursues a career in firefighting. In his free time, Brody enjoys going to the gym, skiing, and spending time at the beach.
