The members of Aetna were honored to be invited to help the Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant start the 2017 batch of Last Alarm IPA this morning. This beer was first created last year after the tragic fire on Lakewood Road in Wilmington which took the lives of Wilmington Fire Cpt. Chris Leach, Lt. Jerry Fickes, and Lt. Ardythe Hope. Wilmington Firefighters IAFF Local 1590 helped to start brewing the batch at the Wilmington location yesterday. Lt. Fickes was a long time volunteer with our department and it was our honor to have Mrs. Laura Fickes join us this morning. Last Alarm IPA will be released on October 23, 2017 at both Newark and Wilmington locations with $1 from each pint benefitting firefighter causes. Thank you to Iron Hill for continuing to support your local fire departments and honoring our fallen heroes.
