Thank you Minquas of Newport Vol. Fire Co., Elsmere Fire Company No.1, and Good Will Fire Company for covering our district during these alarms.
The roads are getting bad out there; if you can stay inside please do for your own safety!

Our crews are always moving! While this hasn't been our busiest week for calls (55 fire/rescue and 175 EMS since Monday) it has been a very active week for training. We had in-station Delaware State Fire School driver/pump operator training Tuesday and Thursday nights, Vehicle Rescue training at Goodchild's Towing (they donate their facility and cars for Aetna training) Wednesday night, ladder company training Saturday, and live fire training in West Chester Sunday. Thanks to Hockessin Fire Company - Station 19 for participating in our training today and Townsend Fire Company for covering our district today.
And... on top of all of that, additional members were at the Delaware State Fire School in Dover this weekend for Basic Firefighting Skills, Vehicle Rescue, Hazardous Materials Response Skills and National Fire Academy Leadership classes.
We're gearing up for a busy weather week so stay safe out there!
YTD Totals: 690 fire/rescue calls 2005 EMS calls as of 22:00 3/18.

40 Aetna EMT's and firefighters were recognized Tuesday, along with many other 1st responders, at the 6th Annual NCC Sudden Cardiac Arrest Survivor's Reunion. Due to their efforts, multiple people survived sudden cardiac arrest and were able to continue their lives. This is what #serviceforothers is all about! Great work everyone!
