At 1905 hours a phone call was received at Station 10 reporting a possible fire. Squad 10 and Chief Bowerson immediately responded and reported the incident to the New Castle County 911. Subsequently the Aetna Hose, Hook & Ladder Company, along with mutual aid, was dispatched to a residence in the 2200 block of Pleasant Valley Road for a residential fire. Crews arrived to find a fire that had self-extinguished. The incident was quickly scaled back to Newark and Christiana Fire. The Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause and Chief Bowerson had Newark Command. Remember to always call 911 to report an emergency, do not call the fire station directly.

Both patients were transported in stable condition to Christiana Hospital by Aetna ambulances with New Castle County Paramedics. The Delaware State Police are investigating the cause of the collision and Deputy Chief Sands had Newark Command.

This morning there was a knock on the station door. A neighbor had a little 🦇 problem and needed some help. It would have been really awkward if we found Batman standing in the hall but luckily for us it was just a Little Brown Bat. The 🦇 was carefully and safely captured and released. If you ever find a bat in your house or apartment follow these tips: http://batworld.org/what-to-do-if-you-found_a_bat/
For rescues large and small, we'll be here. "Service for Others"
