On Christmas Eve at 15:16 the stations, along with Christianan Fire Company (3-6-12) and Singerly Fire Company (Cecil County 3-13-14), were dispatched for a townhouse fire on East Edgewater Way.  Engines 9-5 and 10-5 went responding within 3 minutes of dispatch.  While units were responding, Fire Police 8-9 went on location and reported fire showing.  With that report Middletown Fire Company (1-27) was added for the Rapid Intevention Team, along with Delaware City Fire Company (15) for an ambulance and New Castle County EMS for Medic 6 and ALS 25.  10-5 arrived at 15:24 and laid a 5" supply line from the hydrant.  10-5 was followed by 9-5 and Engine 12-6.  Crews found fire venting from the front bedroom on the 2nd floor.  The crews from 9-5 and 10-5 placed a 1 3/4" hand line in service and advanced it to the 2nd floor.  They were able to enter the bedroom and attack the fire as the crew from 12-6 conducted search and ventilation.  The fire was quickly knocked down and crews began opening up the walls and ceilings to check for extension.  The crew from Engine 3-6 operated in both exposure buildings where they checked for extension as well.  All checks for extension turned up negative.  Additional crews from Engines 8-2 and 10-2 relieved the initial crews in the fire building and performed overhaul.  The incident was placed under control by Deputy 10 at !5:39.  B-15 transported 3 to Christianan ER for evaluation due to minor smoke inhalation.  After the Fire Marshal's investiagtion and overhaul was completed, all units were clear the scene at 17:22.

Units on scene: 8-2, 9-5, L-9, 10-2, 10-5, 3-6, 12-6, B-15, Medic 6, ALS 25, FM-18, and Aetna Fire Police
