Shed Fire with Extension to a Structure

21 November 2010 - At 1051 hrs Aetna Hose Hook & Ladder company was alerted to a shed fire on Ethan Allen Ct. in Cherry Hill Mannor, Newark. The original dispatch was for a shed on fire in the rear of the residence and when Aetna firefighters arrived on scene they found a fully involved shed fire with extension to a second shed of a neighboring residence, a rear outside deck of the residence and the rear of two homes. Deputy 8 assumed command. Quick work from an initial attacked kept fire from entering the two homes. Damage was confined to the two sheds, deck and outside of the structures. The fire was placed under control in 20 minutes and approximately 20 firefighters from Aetna Hose Hook and Ladder were on scene. There were no injuries at the incident and the fire is under investigation by the Newark Fire Marshal.
