Rescue in the White Clay Creek State Park

This afternoon the stations were alerted to a motor vehicle collision involving a bicyclist in the White Clay Creek State Park. While responding, units received reports from NCC Police K9 units of a corrected location for the injured bicyclist. Friends of the patient located and alerted the K9 units that were training nearby of the incident. The patient was located approximately 300 yards from the roadway on a trail. Crews from Ladder 9, BLS A7, and NCC*EMS assessed the patient and packaged the patient for transfer to DSP Trooper 4. The patient was transported to the Christiana Emergency Department by Trooper 4. Captain 9 (Z. Lemon) had the Newark Command.
