On Monday April 23, stations 7,8,9, and 10 were alerted to an MVC with Rollover at South College Ave and I95 South Bound. A-7 was the first arriving Aetna unit. On their arrival Delaware State Police advised one subject heavily trapped that was possibly a fatality. Crew from A-7 investigated and confirmed. At this time Deputy 8 assumed command and requested an additional rescue as well as Deldot to shut down the off ramps from I95 SB. This added Christiana 12-6 as well as Claymont for USAR-13. USAR-13 commander requested that a rotator be requested for lifting. This added a 65 ton rotator from B and F towing as well as a 75 ton rotator from First State Towing. Once the vehicle was stabilized with the rotators, crews were able to safely extricate the victim. Crews were on scene for approximately two and a half hours.
