On October 9th at 10:45, Aetna, along with NCC Medic 9 and DSP Trooper 4, was alerted for an MVC reported with rollover and entrapment in the area of 507 Thompson Station Rd.  Ambulances A-7, B-7, and A-9, along with Engines 9-5 and 7-4 all made the response.  A-7 was first to arrive at 10:51, finding a pick-up truck resting on its' driver's side and off of the roadway.  It was quickly determined that the roof of the truck would need to be removed in order to get the patient out.  9-5 arrived at 10:54 and began the process of stabilizing the vehicle.  Their Holmatro Rescue Tools were also placed in service.  With the vehicle stabilized, crews were then able to cut the A, B, and C posts on the passenger side.  Relief cuts were then made and the roof was flapped down.  Crews were then able to move the patient out of the vehicle and secure her to a back board.  Extrication was completed at 11:12.  The Patient was placed in A-7 and then moved to the landing zone for Trooper 4.  She was loaded into Trooper 4 and then flown to Christiana ER for treatment.  After the patient was transported, all units were then clear the scene by 11:37.

Units on scene: A-7, B-7, A-9, 7-4, 9-5, Traffic 9, Aetna Fire Police, Medic 9, and Trooper 4.
