On July 2nd at 17:23, Aetna was dispatched for a MVC with injuries at the intersection of South College Avenue (Route 896) and Corporate Boulevard.  Ambulance A-10 arrived shortly after dispatch and found a 3 vehicle chain reaction type crash.  It was soon determined that the occupant of the middle vehicle would require extrication.  A-10 advised Fire Board of the entrapment, and this added Medic 9 and ALS 26 from NCC EMS to the response.  Deputy 10 arrived and assumed command, and also requested the next due rescue to respond.  That added Delaware City Fire Company (15) to the response for the rescue.  Engine 9-5 arrived and set up for extrication.  the vehicle was stabilized and their Holmatro Tools were placed in service.  Engine 10-5 then arrived and assisted 9-5's crew with the extrication.  Extrication was completed at 17:49, just prior to Rescue 15's arrival.  A-10 transported that patient to Christiana ER with Medic 9, and Ambulance A-8 transported 1 BLS patient there as well.  Deputy 10 placed the incident under control at 17:52, and all Aetna units were clear by 18:05.

Units On Scene: A-8, A-10, 9-5, 10-5, Rescue 15, medic 9, ALS 26, DSP, and Aetna Fire Police.
