On August 29th at 15:19, Aetna, along with Christiana Fire Company (3-6-12), was dispatched for a MVC with injuries on I-95 North Bound in the area of the Astrazeneca Plant.  Ambulances A-8, A-9, and Engine 9-5 responded along with Engine 12-4.  9-5 arrived at 15:28 and found a multiple vehicle crash.  A SUV and a minivan were located in the left lanes of the roadway, while there was a tractor trailer off the right side of the roadway and down into the woods.  9-5's crew began checking on the occupants of the SUV and minivan, while 12-4's crew checked the tractor trailer.  When A-8 and A-9 arrived they provided patient care to the injured occupants from the 2 smaller vehicles.  The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured, but there was a large diesel fuel leak.  Due to this, the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) was requested to respond out as well as DELDOT for traffic control.  A-8 and A-9 transported a total of 3 patients to Christiana ER.  All other FD units cleared the scene at 16:19 and turned the incident over to DNREC, DELDOT, and Delaware State Police.
