House Fire

posted Jun 15, 2014, 1:53 PM by Jeffrey Sands, Assistant Chief 7-8B
Saturday evening (6/14/14), Aetna and surrounding fire companies were alerted to a house fire on Frazer Road in Glasgow.  While responding, Fireboard advised that the resident was reporting a kitchen fire with fire from the window.  Units went on scene with a one-and-a-half story single family dwelling with fire showing from the rear, requesting the working fire dispatch and a tanker.  9-3 and 12-6 both advanced the initial attack lines.  Crews operated for approximately two hours, there was extensive fire damage on the first floor and to one room on the second floor.  The Red Cross was on scene to assist the displaced residents and the fire is being investigated by the Delaware State Fire Marshall's Office.
