Fatal Motorcycle Crash

On July 25th at 22:53 Aetna, along with Christiana Fire Company (3-6-12) for Engine 12-6 and NCC EMS Medic 6, was dispatched for a MVC involving a motorcycle on Interstate 95 South Bound in the area of the Old Baltimore Pike Industrial Park.  Ambulance A-8 and 12-6 were first to arrive at 23:00.  They found a crash that involved a motorcycle and several vehicles.  After a quick investigation it was found that the motorcycle operator had suffered multiple traumatic injuries on impact, and succumbed to those injuries.  The occupants of the other vehicles involved were not injured.  Engine 9-5 and Rescue 8 arrived and assisted with traffic control and scene lighting.  Most units were able to clear the scene by 23:30 with Rescue 8 staying on scene to assist Delaware State Police.  Rescue 8 cleared at 00:19 and turned the scene over to DSP for their investigation.
