The Aetna Hose Hook and Ladder Company has a long history of providing fire and EMS service to the greater Newark area.  Over our120+ years we have gone through many changes.  2011 will be no exception to the department’s realization for the need to change to serve our community.  Aetna is offering an additional full time position to an experienced FF/EMT from outside our department.

There is a quick link on the right of this page titled Employment Opportunities.  Under that link is the  job descriptions posted.  This is for a Full-Time Firefighter/EMT.  There is also a link to our Employment Application.  We are looking for experienced FF/EMT’s to help fill one Full-Time position.

Our history also runs very deep in the Volunteer Fire Service and we wish to maintain that volunteerism.  Even though we are looking to hire some additional help to support our volunteer efforts we are still and will continue to accept applications for Volunteer Firefighters and Volunteer EMTs.  The quick link to volunteer your services is also on this page entitled Join Aetna.  We hope that everyone that wants to help serve our community will take advantage of our Volunteer Service where we provide all necessary training to become a firefighter or EMT.
