Assist Singerly on Vacant House Fire

Just after midnight on September 10th, Aetna was dispatched for an engine to assist Singerly Fire Company (Cecil County 3-13-14) on a townhouse fire at 41 Maple Court.  Squrt 7 made the response and arrived just before Deputy 13 and Squrt 13.  The crew investigated and found burnt electrical wiring with no fire.  As the units were getting ready to clear, Singerly was dispatched for a building fire in the area of Blue Ball Road and Dogwood Road.  Squrt 7 made the response to assist on this alarm as well.  Squrt 13 arrived to find a 1 1/2 story vacant house the was well involved at 38 Dogwood Road.  Squrt 7 arrived next and they were advised to pull behind Squrt 13 in order to supply them with water until Tanker 13 arrived.  Squrt 13's crew placed a 1 3/4 inch hand line in service to the front of the structure for a defensive attack.  The crew from Squrt 7 placed a 2nd 1 3/4 inch hand line in service on the bravo side of the structure.  Crews were able to quickly knock down the bulk of the fire.  Squrt 7's crew handled extinguishing hot spots and opening up the exterior wall on the bravo side of the 1st floor and attic.  The crew roperated on scene until being released at 02:00.
